Cracked or Broken Lcd Screens
I am always asked about cracked Lcd Screens.
More and more mobile phones these days
Recently, the market has seen a rapid increase in the upgrading and diversification of functions for portable devices, creating demand for more information display on screens.
According to ABI Research, because LCD is a mature technology, it has a cost advantage that ensures its future as the primary display technology for some time to come. However, despite the face that LCD displays have improved greatly over the years, their performance still falls short in such areas as power consumption and readability in bright light conditions.
Among the “LCD challengers,” ABI identified few technologies:
* Organic Light-Emitting Diodes (OLEDs), which they found to be among leading contenders because of the maturity of development and existing use in other devices such as TV sets.
* Then, there’s Qualcomm (NSDQ: QCOM)’s micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS)-based “mirasol” display that is finding its first role in secondary screens found on clamshell handsets. During this year, Qualcomm will open a dedicated mirasol display factory in Taiwan.
Wherever they are made and by whichever company they are and will always be prone to water damage, being sat on, dropped and cracked e.t.c
repairing these screens could be undertaken by a hadline diy'er for around £25 but why bother when you can get it done professional by a dedicated mobile phone repair company such as Mobilephone-repairs.com ?
the question needs answering especially as diy brings the risk that you may do more harm than good to your phone ...just one slip of that screwdriver....and bye bye phone!
